Semicolon's Mission

Develop technologists who will drive digital transformation
in Nigeria and the world.

Semicolon's Approach

What are we trying to do?

Turn our vibrant youth population into an army of technologists – software developers, enterprise architects, project managers, etc. creating solutions that positively impact our world and drive economic growth.

How are we doing it?

Through an intensive 12-month programme, we train Nigerians in core IT skills (such as software development, enterprise architecture and project management), as well as leadership, entrepreneurship and business management skills. Semicolon students work on innovation-oriented projects, take internships and work with mentors to develop hands-on experience, build their professional networks and develop innovative technical solutions to the world’s problems.

Why are we doing it?

  • Transform lives – Nigeria is full of people who have ambition, talent and motivation, but are unable to find meaningful and well-paying work.
  • Transform industries – By developing a highly skilled technical workforce, Semicolon enables Nigerian businesses to innovate and grow.
  • Transform Nigeria – By developing sought-after skills in those eager to work, Semicolon will reduce unemployment and contribute to the growth of the economy.
